Ron Reeves is the founder of our company. Mr. Reeves graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree from Auburn University. He is originally from Chancellor, AL. His first experience in the construction industry was working with Wambles Construction during the summers while in high school and college from 1986 until 1989. During this time, he learned the trades of the construction industry to include the following: concrete foundation installation, rough framing, asphalt shingle and metal roofing installation, concrete driveway and sidewalk installation, minor plumbing and electrical work, and vinyl siding for home construction. In the summer of 1990 Mr. Reeves worked with Enterprise Wholesale in the commercial and residential flooring, lighting, and appliance business where he learned the retail side of the trade, as he was responsible for loading and delivering orders for various projects, as well as performing takeoffs. In 1991 while attending Auburn University, Mr. Reeves worked with the City of Auburn as a surveyor and inspector on a variety of roadway, sewer, water, and industrial park expansions. In 1992 Mr. Reeves graduated from Auburn University and started his career with Couch Construction, Inc., a large road building and material supply contractor, as an estimator for large highway, commercial, industrial, and residential projects where he worked for 6 years. In 1996 Mr. Reeves received his Professional Engineering Degree and in 1998 Mr. Reeves started Reeves Engineering & Construction, LLC, which is known for Civil Engineering Design, Project Management, & Construction for various projects to include municipal, industrial, commercial, military, institutional, and residential work. His most recent endeavor has been Reeves & Shaw Construction, which started in just 2016. Mr. Reeves is a member of Covenant United Methodist Church of Dothan and a member of ASCE. He is married to Mary Reeves and has two sons and one daughter, one of which is now working with the company.
Alec Reeves, son of Ron Reeves, graduated from Auburn University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree. Mr. Reeves has lived in Dothan, AL his entire life. Alec has previously worked for Gilbane Construction Company in Atlanta, GA as well as Garney Construction in Nashville, TN. While working with Gilbane, he mainly focused on estimating, purchasing, and scheduling. He worked on jobs in excess of $100M, including the Georgia Nathan Deal Judicial Center, The Sutton Residential Tower, Icon Buckhead Luxury Apartments, Cross Keys Elementary School, Georgia Tech Campus Center, Riverwood High School, Piedmont Hospital Expansion, Village Park Luxury Senior Living, etc. These projects were able to give him experience in governmental, education, healthcare, assisted living, and high-end commercial construction work. With Garney Construction, Mr. Reeves worked as a Project Engineer in a heavy civil industry. He predominately worked on scheduling, quantity takeoffs, labor audits, purchasing, bid evaluations, surveying, and AutoCAD design. He was also solely responsible for running meetings held with the owner for the governmental projects. He worked on projects in excess of $15M, including an Industrial Sewer Rehab and a new Steam & Gas Facility at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant, The Nashville Yards, and a Knoxville Utilities Water Treatment Expansion. This experience has been instrumental in generating new business ideas within the company. Today, Mr. Reeves is a member of Covenant United Methodist of Dothan and is a member of the Dothan Area Young Professionals group. He is married to Chandler Reeves. In 2019, Mr. Reeves joined the company and plans to keep it in the family name. His hard work and teamwork have become instrumental in the beginning stages of growth for the company, and is a reason why teamwork is one of our core values today.
Kevin Rodgers has worked with Reeves Engineering & Construction for over 20 years. Kevin is originally from Opp, Alabama. Mr. Rodgers had previous work experience as a land surveyor and draftsman prior to starting with the company. Mr. Rogers graduated from drafting school in 1996 and has worked with Reeves Engineering & Construction since 1998. Today, Mr. Rogers is a member of First Baptist Church of Dothan, AL. He is married to Candi Rogers and has three daughters. Mr. Rogers has been instrumental in the success of the company. Kevin's hard work and integrity have been a great influence over the years, and is a reason why integrity is one of our core values today.
